Mr. Kelly K. Brown
Originally from New York City, Kelly moved to Oregon when he was 17 to attend Reed College. While there he met his future wife and decided to make Portland his home. After earning a degree from McGeorge School of Law, he began practicing bankruptcy law in 1983. He considers working in that area to be the most rewarding, since it allows him to help his clients move forward, far from the burdens of old debts. His off-hours interests include renovating old houses, re-enacting American Civil War battles, sailing, folk dancing, and studying the Vietnamese language (his accent is dreadful). His faults include drinking too much coffee and spending too many hours in the office (just ask his wife).

Ms. Sue H. Reagel
Sue Reagel moved from Chicago to Portland to attend Reed College, where she graduated in Fine Arts in 1997. She began working at Kelly K. Brown's office in 2001, making her the most experienced member of our staff. She also maintains careers in dance instruction and in painting and illustration. In 2004 she helped to found Balkan Festivals Northwest, a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting Balkan cultural events in the Pacific Northwest. She is now president of that organization and produces several workshops and concerts in the Portland area every year. She can be spotted at many art openings and dance events. Most important, Sue has possession of both the largest and smallest rubber-band balls in the office.

Ms. Nicole Rock Zargarian
Nicole was born and raised in Ames, Iowa. In 2004, she came to Portland to make it her home (she was sick of corn and tornadoes). In 2006 she received her Paralegal Studies degree from Portland Community College. Ebullient and empathetic, Nicole always makes sure our clients are as comfortable with their situations as possible. In off-hours, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends, and Lucky, her calico cat. She makes a mean barbecue. An outdoors type, she enjoys beautiful Laurelhurst Park for an evening's walk. She also acknowledges that having the coolest name in the office.

Ms. Jen C. Oppenlander
Jen was born and raised in Portland. She attended Everest College and received a Paralegal Studies degree in 2006. She began working for Kelly K. Brown in 2005 and thoroughly enjoys helping clients through the process of bankruptcy. At the office, she pretends to be amused by politely laughing at Kelly's bad jokes. In off hours she enjoys spending time with her two children and her fiance; reading, and running around outdoors.

Ms. Minh T. Nguyen
Born in Saigon, Minh moved to the United States in 2001 after a career in Vietnam guiding foreign investors through that country's cultural mazes and bureaucratic red tape. She began working for us immediately upon arriving in Portland, utilizing her skills to organize complicated materials. She is rarely the first to arrive for work, but is always the last to leave.

Mr. Jason E. Schumacher
Jason Schumacher has been interested in law since childhood. When he started working at Kelly Brown's office in the spring of 2007, he immediately found it to be a field where he could help make a difference in people's lives. He is currently an honors history student at the University of Puget Sound and is also a website designer. Outside of work and school, he enjoys reading the works of Ayn Rand, studying current events, cooking, and hiking. His bad habits include coming to work far too early as well as enabling Kelly's coffee addiction.
